The LiBa®Bag is a high-quality inner packaging solution for the transport and storage of lithium batteries in accordance with Special Provision 376 of the ADR. This special provision applies to damaged or defective lithium cells and batteries that must be professionally assessed and packaged in accordance with the applicable dangerous goods regulations before transport.
The LiBa®Bag is made from high-quality functional fabric with integrated ventilation areas. It encloses the inserted battery and, depending on the selected version, is securely closed using a hook-and-loop fastener or robust safety buckles. Its padded construction facilitates safe handling and protects the battery against mechanical impact during normal transport and storage.
Thanks to the wide range of available sizes and shapes, the LiBa®Bag is suitable for particularly flat batteries as well as compact RC, laptop, power-tool and drone batteries and large e-bike batteries. Depending on the selected version, the bag has a flat or three-dimensional shape designed to accommodate different battery dimensions and housing designs.
Please select the appropriate version according to the battery’s actual dimensions. Additional space must be allowed for protruding connectors, cables, mounts, handles or unusual housing shapes. The stated dimensions refer to the usable interior or maximum suitable battery dimensions. The battery must fit without pressure and the bag must be capable of closing completely.
In addition to the listed standard sizes, individually adapted LiBa®Bags are also available on request. Exact dimensions, voltage and capacity, battery manufacturer and type, as well as details of connectors, cable outlets, carrying handles and required attachment points, are needed for a custom-made version.
The LiBa®Bag is intended for use as inner packaging within a suitable complete packaging system. The additional outer packaging, marking, documentation and protective measures required depend on the condition and hazard potential of the battery as well as the applicable transport regulations.

The stated dimensions are listed as length x width x height and refer to the battery or internal dimensions. Measure the battery accurately, including all permanently attached or protruding components. Additional space must be allowed for cables, connectors, handles and mounts. The LiBa®Bag is an inner packaging solution and does not by itself constitute a complete or automatically approved dangerous goods shipping package. Before transport, damaged or defective lithium batteries must be assessed and classified by a competent person and packaged, marked and documented in accordance with the applicable dangerous goods regulations.
Special requirements apply in particular to batteries that are liable to rapidly disassemble, react dangerously, produce a flame or dangerous heat, or emit toxic or corrosive gases. If there is any uncertainty, a dangerous goods safety adviser or another qualified specialist must be consulted before transport.
