Battery Disposal
Notice regarding the disposal of used batteries: The following notice is addressed to those who use batteries or products containing built-in batteries and do not resell them in the form supplied (end users): 1. Free take-back of used batteries: Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally required to return used batteries to ensure proper disposal. You can hand in used batteries at a municipal collection point or at local retail outlets. As a distributor of batteries, we are also required to take back used batteries; however, our take-back obligation is limited to used batteries of the type that we carry—or have previously carried—in our product range as new batteries. You may therefore either send such used batteries back to us with sufficient postage or hand them in free of charge directly at our dispatch warehouse at the following address: Voltmaster Simon Müller, Dickenreiser Weg 18d, 87700 Memmingen. 2. Meaning of battery symbols: Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries containing more than 0.0005% mercury by mass, more than 0.002% cadmium by mass, or more than 0.004% lead by mass, the chemical name of the specific pollutant appears beneath the wheeled bin symbol—where Cd stands for cadmium, Pb for lead, and Hg for mercury.
