Extover® 5L Coarse in a heavy-duty plastic bucket is a practical and robust safety solution for storing, transporting and extinguishing lithium-ion and LiPo batteries in the event of a fire. The coarse inorganic expanded glass granulate with a grain size of approx. 1–4 mm is ideal for workshops, storage areas, RC model building, industry, research and technical applications.
If a battery ignites, the granulate can be applied loosely over the source of the fire. Extover® expanded glass granulate surrounds the fire, reduces oxygen supply and helps to contain the fire in a clean and controlled way.
At very high temperatures, the expanded glass can melt and spread over the surface of the burning material. This creates a sealing protective layer which crusts over during cooling and can help reduce reignition.
The sturdy heavy-duty plastic bucket provides clean, lightweight and resealable packaging. This keeps the extinguishing granulate ready for use and easy to store in workshops, storage rooms, charging areas, transport zones or safety boxes.
