Lithium-ion batteries are used in almost all areas of modern life – from mobile phones, notebooks and tablets to power tools, alarm systems, e-bikes and toys. Especially in the RC hobby sector, more and more high-performance LiPo batteries are being used. This increases the risk of thermal runaway if the batteries are damaged or recharged after deep discharge.

To address these risks effectively, SmoliTec provides a professional solution for the safe storage and transport of lithium-ion batteries. Inside the dangerous goods safety box, the batteries are placed on and between the Extover® fire extinguishing granulate bags and are completely covered. This prevents any movement and ensures optimal protection in the event of a defect. After loading, the box is closed and secured with a strap.

Attention: This safety box is intended only for undamaged or non-critical defective lithium-ion batteries in accordance with packaging regulations P908 / LP904. If there is a risk that a defective cell may ignite during transport, an official approval according to Special Provision 376 is mandatory. Batteries that may undergo rapid disassembly, dangerous reactions, fire, heat generation or hazardous gas emissions under normal transport conditions may only be transported under conditions defined by the competent authority.
