The BAT-SAFE XXL is a robust safety box for charging and storing larger LiPo, lithium-ion and e-bike batteries. High-capacity battery packs can generate extreme heat, pressure and smoke gases in the event of a failure. The BAT-SAFE XXL is designed to significantly reduce these risks during everyday battery handling.
Batteries can be charged and stored directly inside the box. Charging cables are routed to the outside through a flame-resistant cable outlet, allowing the battery to remain protected inside the box during charging.
In the event of a battery fire, the pressure generated inside the box can escape in a controlled way through the upper ventilation openings. At the same time, the escaping smoke is filtered, helping to reduce exposure to smoke and harmful substances.
During a fire, temperatures inside the box can reach up to 800 °C. Thanks to the special insulation, the bottom and side walls remain significantly cooler and, according to the manufacturer, reach a maximum of approx. 80 °C. Escaping gases reach a maximum temperature of approx. 150 °C.
