Our new EasySafeBox LiXX is now taking shape, one carefully manufactured component at a time.
The latest images show the boxes at a particularly interesting stage of production. The anthracite outer panels and precisely cut inner structures have already been prepared but have not yet been fully assembled or filled.
The EasySafeBox is manufactured from 1.5 mm AlMg3 aluminium and features a double-wall construction. The space between the walls is subsequently filled with Extover® extinguishing granulate. In the event of a thermal incident, this system is designed to help reduce temperatures, restrict the oxygen supply and mitigate the effects of thermal runaway.
Metal processing, bending and powder coating are carried out in Augsburg. Final assembly, filling, quality control and shipping are then completed at our premises in Memmingen.
The individual components are currently being carefully aligned, assembled and riveted. The next stages include filling the double-wall cavities, installing the remaining components and completing a final quality inspection.
The EasySafeBox combines a robust metal construction with a carefully designed passive safety concept for the storage of modern rechargeable batteries.
